Coordination of transportation services for seniors who are able to travel independently or with an escort, but are unable to drive themselves. 24hr noticed required for all transportation services. Limited to Monroe County area.
We offer safe and reliable transportation services to seniors, helping them to get to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social events.
Assisting seniors with finding affordable and accessible housing.
Providing individuals with current information on services and opportunities available..
Short trips and small tasks for people with disabilities or the frail/elderly. At least 24hr notice required.
Delivery of meals to home. This service requires an application and there is currently a waitlist.
Visits to the residence of older participants to provide companionship and social interaction.
Service to stay in contact with, and provide comfort or help to recipeints.
This is a class that meets for two hours weekly. A workbook is utilized that covers different topics with each class. Group Interaction is educational and enjoyed by all participants.

This 8-week course is taught through the University of Tennessee Extension program sponsored by the Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (SNAP-Ed).
This is a class that is offered twice a week. The instructor, Jan Broyles, is a certified instructor in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention. The Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention Program is the same as Tai Chi for Arthritis program which was recognized by the CDC as evidence-based. Both programs have exactly the same movem

The former has more emphasis on fall prevention while the later on arthritis.
A Matter of Balance (MOB) is specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity levels among community-dwelling older adults. The program includes eight two-hour classes presented to a small group of 8-12 participants led by trained coaches. The program enables participants to reduce the fear of falling by learning
A Matter of Balance (MOB) is specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity levels among community-dwelling older adults. The program includes eight two-hour classes presented to a small group of 8-12 participants led by trained coaches. The program enables participants to reduce the fear of falling by learning to view falls as controllable, setting goals for increasing activity levels, making small changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance.
